About the Role

LakeFusion is urgently looking for a Prompt Engineer who is an Immediate Joiner to work with clients using our AI-driven Master Data Management platform. You'll understand each client's data matching needs, write custom prompts for their use cases, and select the right models to get them the best results.

You'll be the bridge between clients and our AI systems native on Databricks. This means learning what they're trying to match, designing prompts that work for their data, and making sure the AI performs well for their specific situation.

You'll work closely with clients, product teams, and engineers to deliver solutions that actually solve their problems. This is a client-facing technical role for someone who can understand business needs and translate them into effective AI implementations.

What you’ll do

• Work directly with clients to understand their entity resolution and data matching needs
• Design and write custom prompts tailored to each client's use case and data
• Select and recommend appropriate LLMs based on client requirements, budget, and performance needs
• Test and optimize prompts to improve accuracy for specific client scenarios
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure how well prompts work for each client
• Collaborate with clients to refine matching logic and improve results over time
• Create documentation and guidelines that help clients understand how their AI matching works
• Monitor LakeFusion for matching performance and troubleshoot issues when results aren't meeting expectations
• Share best practices and learnings across client implementations

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years working with LLMs and prompt engineering in production or client-facing roles
• Strong client communication skills - you can explain technical concepts clearly and understand business requirements
• Experience designing prompts for data matching, classification, or extraction tasks
• Understanding of different LLM options (GPT-4, Claude, open source models) and their tradeoffs
• Knowledge of entity resolution, data matching, or MDM concepts
• Ability to evaluate prompt performance and make data-driven improvements
• SQL skills for testing and extracting data from Databricks
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with clients
• Comfortable managing multiple client projects at once

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with RAG architectures and vector search
• Background in consulting or customer success engineering
• Knowledge of Databricks or similar data platforms
• Experience with cost optimization for LLM deployments
• Familiarity with enterprise data quality challenges
